I’VE NEVER BOXED BEFORE, ARE BEGINNERS WELCOME?
✅ Of course! We teach basic technique in our classes and that’s as complex as it gets- we want people to get excited about boxing because its one of the greatest (and fun!) workouts you can do for yourself.
WHAT IF I CANT KEEP UP WITH EVERYONE ELSE?
❤️ Our classes are beginner friendly! Everyone has different fitness levels so if you can move your body you’ll love the class! One of our favourite things about boxing is you can take it at your own pace.
HOW MANY CALORIES DOES A BOXING CLASS BURN?
🏋️ You’ll burn major calories- fast! You can expect to burn between 200-400 calories per half hour- that makes boxing tie with other cardiovascular workouts like running and cycling.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF BOXING?
There are so many benefits to boxing we could spend an hour talking about it! Here are our favourite reasons why boxing rocks:
➡️You’ll get super fit quickly = great news for your heart and lungs!
➡️You’ll lose weight. Boxing burns as many calories as going for a run! (and way more fun)
➡️You get to punch stuff! Work making you stressed out? Sitting down all day? Boxing is a healthy and safe way to alleviate frustrations and stress.
➡️Sharpen agility and coordination. Boxing is excellent for perfecting your hand/body coordination, whilst moving around the bag. The more you practice your hand and footwork, the more agile you become.
➡️Its awesome for bone health. Boxing increases the strength and density of your bones. Resistance training (including in boxing) is good for your bones and protects them against injury and may help to prevent osteoporosis
➡️You’ll always learn. The more you box the better you get. Once you become confident with hitting a bag you’ll be (job cross) hooked
